Greetings! My name's Amethyst and I run an LLC business producing video game modifications under the brand Amethyst-SZS. I value both efficiency and quality in my work, and I'm always striving to complete projects to a high standard, while still meeting important deadlines.
My interest in learning new skills and passion to create new and exciting things have allowed me to create countless personal projects, as well as commission work for various clients that have had undeniable success.
It's not just developers and creators who know the name Amethyst-szs! As of April 2025 the projects I've produced or helped produce have garnered over 65 million views on YouTube. That's nearly 50 separate commissions with several clients!
A full open-source dialogue and flowchart editor designed for Nintendo's Action Library game engine. This tool includes low-level binary file parsing/writing libraries written by myself, a full user interface hand-crafted in the Godot Engine, and so many more features that's had developers in love.
A low-level tool developed for 2017's Super Mario Odyssey released on Nintendo Switch. This toolkit is currently closed-source (public release in progress) and is the backbone of some of the largest and most baffling technical showcases the Mario community has ever seen. It includes:
An ASM, C, & C++ Nintendo Switch app
A TypeScript server
A GDScript + C# Desktop Application.
I created a special Birthday DLC for @AprilynneAlter to celebrate @RoxCodes 27th birthday! It's a massive technical showcase of level design, graphic design, programming, and the desire to go above and beyond to delight players!
Bringing interactivity with live audiences to a whole new level, custom code and integrations with streaming APIs allow my projects to not only be played by the player, but their audience as well! This includes dynamic voting systems with real-time animation, crazy viewer redeems, and other tooling to make a streamer pop in a way nobody else does!
With the incredible power of modern libraries it's possible to do just about anything! I've hooked up voice recognition to respond to what you say, I've made a game controllable by blinking, I've even played a game with a real treadmill!
I've had experience and practice with the Godot Engine, Unreal Engine, Unity, and more! Plus, I have lots of experience with custom in-house engines due to my work with Nintendo game modifications, which has given me incredible skills in adapting to my surroundings and working in complicated environments.
In an era where nearly everyone has an internet connection at all times it's important for games to not just be a singular experience! Thankfully, I've also got experience working with online multiplayer architecture through my work on Freeze Tag and other multiplayer games!
Sure, many developers are able to make a functional product, but what about a beautiful product? Coming from a backbone of YouTube and other artistic mediums, I'm able to make all of work shine with the polish you'd need another or several other graphic designers to achieve!
I'm always extremely happy to work on creative projects even if they have nothing to do with programming! I've got loads of real-world experience working with 2D and 3D animation and video editing, making some of the most polished videos of the genre that gets hundreds of thousands of views!
